Services

The Club plein air de Caraquet offers you the opportunity to rent mountain or fat bikes at our service counter during opening hours. We currently have 15 mountain bikes with suspension ranging from XSmall to XLarge. We also have 20 fat bikes ranging from Junior to Extra Large. Helmets are mandatory and included in the rental price. Handlebar lights and helmets are also available for rental.

A bike repair station will eventually be installed outside but, until then, there are tools available at the service counter during opening hours.

The Club plein air de Caraquet, with numerous volunteers and certified coaches, offers the opportunity to register in cross country ski learning activities. More information will be shared through our Facebook page.

For 2024, we have 1 Adult programs offered by the Nord-Roi cross country ski club. The season's schedule will be published as events on our Facebook page. Space is limited, based on the number of coaches, volunteers and available equipment.

The Adult program offers a minimum of 6 sessions on Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons starting January 31st, 2024. Cross country skiing is the foundation of the program but it could also include an outdoor stream allowing the exploration of other winter activities (ex: snowshoeing, skating, igloo, etc...).

During the summer season, the Club plein air de Caraquet converts the hockey rink into a dog park so your dogs can run freely. A bag dispenser is available to allow you to pick up after your dog. There is also a water fountain on the east side of the building.

The Club plein air de Caraquet, with numerous volunteers and certified coaches, offer a ‘learn to’ programs for mountain biking. The Sprockids program is offered in 20 countries across the world and was developed in Canada.

There is currently no program planned. Additional information will be shared through our Facebook page. We recommend reading the  program's code of ethic with your kids.

The Club plein air de Caraquet offers you the opportunity to rent skates at our service counter during opening hours. We have a good variety of sizes. Quantities are limited. A helmet is included in the price. No reservation.

The Club plein air de Caraquet offers you the opportunity to rent cross country skis at our service counter during opening hours. A selection of classic and skate style skis is available. Quantities and sizes are limited. A portion of the  profits go to Les Élites du Nord-Roi ski club. No reservation.

The Club plein air de Caraquet offers you a ski waxing service for both classic and skate skis. Drop off your skis at the service counter during opening hours and we will contact you when they are ready for pick up. A good maintenance and waxing of your skis will extend their life and result in a better ski experience. All profits goes to the Nord-Roi cross country ski club. A waxing station is also available in the main room of the building for our members.

Start of season maintenance: Includes the cleaning of the skis, deep cleaning of the bases, the saturation of the bases with prep wax, glide wax application and sanding of the kick zone (for traditional classic skis).

Maintenance wax: Includes the cleaning of the ski bases and glide wax application.

Storage wax: Includes the cleaning of the skis, cleaning of the ski bases and storage wax application.

Camber test: Includes cleaning of the ski bases and the identification of the optimal kick zone for classic skis. Please contact the club for an appointment.

The Club plein air de Caraquet offers you the opportunity to rent snowshoes at our service counter during opening hours. A few models are designed specifically for running. For groups of 10 or more, please contact us in advance by phone or email to confirm availability of equipment.
